Latina Researchers Conference: Increasing the Pipeline for Future Scholars
In response to the underrepresentation of historically disadvantaged populations with advanced STEM degrees or in advanced research or academic positions, the one-day professional conference seeks to:
*Increase exposure of advanced research careers in the academy to the next generation of investigators.
*Ensure underrepresented scholars are equipped with role models and networking opportunities to either enter or remain in the academy.
The conference will convene prominent health, social and behavioral science researchers and scholars. The conference will have plenary sessions, panel discussions, a speed networking session and poster session.
